Speech-Language Pathologist/Co-owner of Empower Center of Movement & Cognition

I am a dedicated and seasoned Speech-Language Pathologist with over 15 years of experience, grounded in strong academic credentials—including a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Michigan State University and a second Master’s in Linguistics from Eastern Michigan University.

My approach is centered on the strengths of the child, weaving together a hands-on, play-based methodology with sensory interventions to create therapy that’s both effective and deeply engaging. I specialize in working with children who have articulation and language disorders, apraxia of speech, cognitive impairments, autism spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injuries, and fluency challenges.
I value a multiteam approach and collaborate closely with families, educators, and related professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach. 

Outside the clinic I’m an outdoor enthusiast—camping, walking my dogs, and cheering on my kids at their sports and activities are constants in my life. Family time keeps me grounded, and nature is where I find balance and inspiration.

Kristen Lutsch, MS, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist/Co-owner of Empower Center of Movement & Cognition

As a pediatric occupational therapist, I am passionate about helping children discover their unique strengths through curiosity, confidence-building, and play. I earned my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Wayne State University and am a licensed occupational therapist, registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). 

I specialize in helping children build skills in sensory processing, motor planning, coordination, and visual motor with the goal of helping them engage more fully at home, at school, and in the community. I use a child-led approach, focusing on connection and a deep respect for each child’s individuality and potential. 

In my free time, I love being outdoors, whether it’s hiking, biking, paddling, or simply enjoying nature. I’m always up for an adventure and value new experiences that help me grow.
