What to Expect

Initial Phone Consultation

We start with a phone call to learn more about your child, answer your questions, and share how our services can support your child and family.

Pediatrician Referral

A referral from your child’s pediatrician is needed to initiate occupational therapy and/or speech-language evaluation and treatment services, particularly if you plan to submit these services to your insurance company for coverage. 

Comprehensive Evaluation

Your child will participate in standardized and/or non-standardized assessments, including play-based activities, and observations to gain a full understanding of their strengths and areas of need.

Collaborative Goal Setting

Following the evaluation, we will review the results together and discuss recommendations. We will set meaningful goals that will support your child's development.

Individualized Treatment Sessions

Your child will attend therapy sessions that focus on the goals we've set. Sessions include hands-on, play-based therapeutic activities.

Home Program

In order to get the most out of our sessions, we encourage practicing and reinforcing the skills learned in therapy within your home and community. We will provide a comprehensive home program that is easy to use in any setting in order to support carry-over and further strengthen each new skill.
